In February 2027, the world's best athletes will gather for speed, excitement and precision when the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Championships are held in Lillehammer. Spectators can experience spectacular days of intense competition and a true championship atmosphere in one of the world's most iconic bobsleigh and luge tracks.

We Norwegians love to play in the snow and for many of us, sledding in the streets was our first encounter with speed and G-forces as children. Now we're taking it a step further, when the world's best athletes in bobsleigh and skeleton come to Lillehammer to set new speed records. Look forward to getting to know this unique sport in the only bobsleigh and luge track in the Nordic region!

The World Championships will be a unique opportunity to showcase the Lillehammer region to an international audience and is a major highlight for us at Sliding Festival.
